30. October 2009: The final report (IR3) was submitted to the European Commission. This was the last offical act of the program in the frame of TEMPUS III.

June 2009: As the last official activity in the frame of the project the final conference took place at the Ain Shams University in Cairo on June 22 and 23 (Dowload Flyer). On two conference days (agenda) the achievements of the project from the beginning until now were reflected and evaluated. (more...)

 

In May 2009 the European consortium members and individual experts went to Egypt within the proposed activity 4.3. The main aim of this activity was the evaluation of the current running realisation process at Ain Shams University Cairo and Minia University. (more...)

 

February 2009: Within the realization process an additional coordination meeting took place in Vienna. Both Egyptian local coordinators, the individual expert Mrs Kiefel and colleagues from TUD and BOKU participated the meeting. The strategies concerning the dissemination and sustainability as well as administrative issues were discussed. The meeting was also be used in preparation of the upcoming activities 4.3 and the final conference in June 2009.

 

November 2008: The TUD and the individual expert Mrs. Kiefel met with their Egyptian colleagues in Cairo and Minia to check all new IT-labs and the installed hard- and software. They were able to attend the first practical student exercises. An exchange of learning material and several discussions about further steps in the realization process were realized and are going to contribute to a successful end of the project next year. September 2008: The second internal report (IR2) was delivered to the European Commission.

 

August 2008: After the workshops a conference took place in the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Affairs in Berlin, Germany. The main issues were the dicussion of the results of the previous meetings in Dresden as well as a feedback of the training sessions. This meeting was a further step to start the realization process. August 2008: The Egyptian Project members attended in training courses of IT solutions which will be installed in the new IT-Labs and integrated in the updated curriculum at the Egyptian universities. The worshops were given for the applications ArcGIS, VISUM,VISSIM, Civil 3d. (more...)

 

June 2008: All project members met in Dresden, Germany for introduction of all results containing in activity 1 (analysing curricula). Furthermore, updating suggestions for IT-applications were presented which are based on the curriculum analysing of each Egyptian Partner University. (more...)

 

April 2008:Colleagues from Ain Shams University and Minia University visited Dresden, Germany and Vienna, Austra . Main goal was to get familiar with the lesson structure, discussions and the approval of soft- and hardware needs for Egyptian IT-Labs. (more...)

 

March 2008: TUD and BOKU participated in lessons at Ain Shams University and Minia University. Main facts were the introduction of the education system and the methodes of teaching. Soft- and Hardware proposals according to the needs of every Egyptian University the were discussed. (more...)

 

March 2008: The first internal report (IR1) was delivered to the European Commission on the 5th of February 2008.
